The Fight Against Self

In life, you will encounter various individuals, but it is your decision who you allow into your close circle.

If you feel the need to conform to fit in with everyone else, this indicates an issue with your self-identity.

For much of my life, I didn't feel like I fit in until I embarked on a journey of self-discovery.

I consider myself someone who interacts well with others while avoiding undesirable influences.

Even during times when I lacked self-love, I refrained from following the crowd and embraced my individuality, a principle I still uphold today. I have evolved as a person through my faith.

My sense of style is unique and comfortable, reflecting my individuality rather than mimicking trends.

While I am not flawless, I strive to be polite and respectful to those who exhibit self-respect and respect for others.

Although I have never faced criminal charges, I acknowledge that I have harboured negative thoughts, which distinguishes me from those who act on such impulses.

However, I have been fortunate to avoid making regrettable decisions.

I have committed to improving myself and occasionally grapple with my alter ego.

Managing mental health challenges requires significant effort, but I have made substantial progress in practising patience and prioritising my well-being.

Though I sometimes experience difficult days where isolation seems appealing, I recognise that there are alternative approaches.

Reconnecting with a supportive community has provided me with comfort and understanding.

By listening to and assisting others, I gain insights and resilience to persevere.

Understanding my triggers and responding promptly when I feel anxious is crucial.

Engaging in self-reflective practices, such as shadow work, helps me identify and address the root causes of my triggers.

Over time, I have acquired tools and knowledge that were previously unavailable to me, allowing me to understand my mind and behavioural patterns better.

Avoiding situations that compromise my mental and emotional well-being is essential.

I now possess a deeper self-awareness, enabling me to make thoughtful decisions and continue living my life to its fullest potential.

In everything, there must be a balance.
